[V] talent hunt for viewers with gift of the TV gab

MUMBAI: Star India’s music arm Channel [V] is all set to launch Pepsi [V] TV Champions. The initiative gives participants one minute on air to express their creative capabilities.

Announcing the launch, Channel [V] head honcho Amar K Deb says, “[V] believes that today’s youth know what they want and they don’t want to be governed by rules. They want to do their own thing and express themselves the way they want to.”
 

Pepsi [V] TV Champions, the eight episodes show scheduled to go on air in June, will kick start its audition from May with the aim to find one ‘champion’ who has got the spirit to go on television and get extra eyeballs by use of their creative skills, states an official release.

The desired participants have to visit the nearest Reliance Web World or log onto vindia.com and upload their respective photographs and profile.
 
 

Around 300 participants will be shortlisted from across the country. The audition will take place at Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore and 14 finalists will eventually get their shot at fame. The onus of choosing the right talents rests with viewers.

MUMBAI: Shipra Khanna just packed her bags and her flavours because when a celebrated chef takes you on a global plate tour, even the couch starts feeling like first-class. Warner Bros. Discovery India has announced the launch of World On My Plate with Shipra Khanna, a new travel and food series set to premiere on TLC on 29 March at 7:00 PM. Hosted and curated by the popular chef and television personality, the show blends food, travel and culture through an intimate and immersive lens.

Across three visually rich episodes, Shipra journeys to global destinations to explore not just what people eat, but why they eat it, uncovering the stories, traditions and human connections behind every dish. The series opens in London, weaving its iconic landmarks with diverse culinary scenes, before moving to Spain’s vineyards, olive orchards and coastal kitchens.

Warner Bros. Discovery head of advertising revenues for South Asia Tanaz Mehta said: “At TLC, our focus has always been on bringing authentic stories that reflect how people live and connect. World On My Plate builds on this by using food as a lens to explore shared traditions across geographies.
