Toon in for Christmas cheer as CN and POGO roll out festive fun
MUMBAI: If Santa needed a little help packing December with cheer, Cartoon Network, Pogo and Discovery Kids have clearly stepped up armed with new shows, fresh episodes and a blizzard of giggles for children heading into Christmas week.
Cartoon Network leads the festive parade with the 15 December premiere of Om Nom Stories, starring the endlessly curious green munchkin Om Nom, who hops into a new adventure every single day superhero one moment, café owner the next. Joined by Nibble Nom, Om Nelle and Spider, the series serves up quick, silly escapades that fit the season’s light-hearted mood. The show airs Monday to Friday at 10:30 am and weekends from 8:30 am.
POGO adds its own holiday sparkle with Omi No. 1, a brand-new comedy show debuting 15 December, airing Monday to Friday at 11:30 am and 7:00 pm across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. It trails Omi, the over-pampered grandson of Milk King Kedarnath, whose everyday misadventures spiral from school dramas to desert chaos before he somehow manages to save the day in his eccentric, heart-warming way.
Discovery Kids joins the Christmas carnival with Titoo: Shararat ka Grand Countdown, running 25–31 December from 9:30 am, packed with pranks, twists and gleeful mischief to close out the year.
But the festive fun doesn’t stop there. Cartoon Network unwraps brand-new episodes of Teen Titans Go! from 25 December to 2 January at 11:30 am, ensuring a steady supply of superhero silliness through the holiday week.
Meanwhile, POGO’s Christmas specials lineup is stacked with action and adventure:
– Big Picture Multiverse ka Mayajaal every Sunday till 21 December at 1 pm
– Jay Jagannath: Maarechka ka Mayajaal on 27 December at 11:30 am
– Chhota Bheem & Ghatotkach on 28 December at 11:30 am
Together, Cartoon Network, Pogo and Discovery Kids are turning December into a full-blown festive binge-fest giving families a sleigh-load of new stories, familiar favourites and colourful year-end fun.

Mukta Arts and Green Gold ink MOU to animate iconic film IPs
Kalicharan, Karz, Hero, Karma, Ram Lakhan to spawn animated shows plus features.
MUMBAI: When classic hindi movie meets animation, the result is a fresh reel of nostalgia with a cartoon twist. Mukta Arts Ltd. and Green Gold Animation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on animated shows and feature films drawn from Mukta Arts’ four-decade treasure trove of iconic IPs. The partnership taps Mukta’s SGM Animation Studio launched in 2025 as its dedicated animation and games arm and Green Gold’s proven track record in building scalable, homegrown franchises. Creative teams from both sides have already kicked off discussions, with the first project currently in development.
The slate will draw inspiration from landmark Mukta films including Kalicharan, Karz, Hero, Karma, Ram Lakhan, Khalnayak, Saudagar and Iqbal, plus character-led spin-offs from those universes. The aim is to reimagine these stories for today’s young, global audiences while preserving their emotional core.
Green Gold Animation (home of Chhota Bheem) founder and CEO Rajiv Chilaka said, “This partnership with SGM Studios allows us to apply our experience in building long-lasting animation IPs to a truly iconic film catalogue. Together, we aim to create animated worlds that are rooted in these legendary stories, yet designed to connect with today’s young, global audiences.”
Mukta Arts Ltd. filmmaker and founder Subhash Ghai added, “Mukta Arts has always believed in creating stories with lasting emotional value. Through animation, we are extending our IP into a new medium for the next generation.”
In an industry where timeless tales never go out of fashion, this collaboration promises to bring beloved characters back to life with a modern, animated glow proving that some stories are too good to stay in live-action. Stay tuned for the first animated frame to drop.
