Commenting on this special initiative, Vishaal Sethia, EVP & National Content Director, ENIL said, “Our freedom movement is a magnificent kaleidoscope of tales of supreme bravery, great resilience and selflessness and an ability to transcend geographical distances in pursuit of one aim: Independence. It is as diverse as India’s heritage where non-violent Satyagraha coexisted with armed rebellion. Our goal was to present these incredibly true stories to our listeners, and that culminated into one grand initiative: Azaadi ki Kahani, Mirchi Ki Zabani: a grand audio extravaganza on 15 August, with fifteen stories of Indian independence voiced by fifteen celebrities. This is our tribute to the gallant women and men who laid down their present for the sake of our futures. The celebrities have poured their hearts into their exquisite narration. These are stories your ears pined to listen to!”
Talking about his experience of voicing heartfelt stories of Independence, Jammval said, “I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of Mirchi’s Independence Day special, Azaadi Ki Kahani Mirchi Ki Zubaani. Being able to contribute my perspective is an honor. Celebrating the spirit of independence, I was reminded of the remarkable journey that our country has undertaken. The opportunity to reflect on the struggles, sacrifices, and triumphs that have shaped our nation was both emotional and thought provoking. Being an army kid myself, Independence Day is a moment to reflect upon our idea of the country we love so deeply, remembering those who won us the freedom and those who continue to uphold the values of our forefathers and mostly, our own contribution towards making India a bit better. Our collective efforts aimed to convey the essence of freedom and the indomitable spirit of our people. I hope that our shared narratives resonate with the audience and serve as a reminder of the significance of Independence Day. It’s a privilege to be a part of initiatives that foster unity, patriotism, and a deeper appreciation for the values that our nation stands for. Thank you for allowing me to contribute to “Azaadi Ki Kahani Mirchi Ki Zubaani.” It was an experience that I cherish!”
