FTII student’s film wins special mention at Kerala film fest
MUMBAI: Rizwan, a diploma film by Deepti Khurana of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), has won ‘Special Jury Mention‘ at 5th International Short and Documentary Film Festival of Kerala that was held recently at Thiruvananthpuram.
The film’s story revolves around Rizwan, who attempts to live up to his name that literally means ‘Guardian of Paradise’ by preserving the dead bodies of his family members who remain alive in his realm – the real heaven of Kashmir.
The film speaks about various realities that Kashmir is facing currently.
The film was recently selected for screening in the the competition section of the First Ladakh International Film Festival that ended on 17 June.

The list, available exclusively on the IMDb app for Android and iOS, tracks trending Indian entertainers and filmmakers each week, drawing on data from more than 200m monthly visits to the platform worldwide.
Further down the rankings, Raaka is keeping two of its biggest names in the spotlight. Deepika Padukone holds 11th position, with Allu Arjun close behind at 13th, as the film continues to find traction with audiences.
