Color Chips in licensing agreement with Star Entertainment
MUMBAI: Hyderabad-based Color Chips India Ltd (CCIL), an integrated animation designs solution company, as entered into a licensing agreement with Star Entertainment Pvt Ltd for distribution of the programmes Caper Town Cops and Ultimate Book of Spells and Scruff.
As per the agreement, Star Entertainment will acquire the rights for a period of two and a half years for distribution and broadcasting of the shows in India through its clients network.
According to an announcement appeared in the Bombay Stock Exchange website, the programmes Caper Town Cops and Ultimate Book of Spells and Scruff are 2D Animation TV serials of 17, 26, 65 episodes of half hour each respectively. Colour Chips acquired rights over these programmes up to 2009 produced by BKN Kids International for the countries India, Japan, South Korea, Pakistan, Russia, Turkey, Vietnam, Fiji, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Thailand & Philippines.
The company is in the advanced stage of negotiation for exploiting these rights in the other countries for which it holds rights. As reported earlier, Colour Chips has sewed a deal with ETV Networks for airing Caper Town Cops.
