MUMBAI: Cartoon Network is all set to premiere its original series titled The Life & Times of Juniper Lee on 11 September at 10 am. The Life & Times of Juniper Lee will be available in English and Hindi.

The Life & Times of Juniper Lee is an animated comedy-adventure packed with an array of characters from both the real and fantastical world.

The series comes from comic book auteur, former The Real World cast member and creator/executive producer Judd Winick.

Juniper Lee has after-school activities and hobbies just like any other 11-year-old. But on top of studies and guitar lessons, she is responsible for maintaining the equilibrium between the world of magic and humanity.

Juniper Lee leads a pretty normal life. She makes good grades, hangs out with friends and has to deal with an overzealous younger brother. But on top of the everyday pre-teen escapades, Juniper is the Te Xuan Ze (“the Protector”).

For generations, a member of her family has had both the honor and burden of keeping the balance between the real and magical world. Now it’s Juniper’s turn, and it’s not easy. The real challenge of her is being the Te Xuan Ze and balancing her normal life with her secret role as Protector.

Winick also created the comic strips Nuts and Bolts and Frumpy the Clown. He published the critical hit The Adventures of Barry Ween, Boy Genius and has worked on several DC Comics titles, including Batman, Green Lantern and Green Arrow.

MUMBAI: When classic hindi movie meets animation, the result is a fresh reel of nostalgia with a cartoon twist. Mukta Arts Ltd. and Green Gold Animation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on animated shows and feature films drawn from Mukta Arts’ four-decade treasure trove of iconic IPs. The partnership taps Mukta’s SGM Animation Studio launched in 2025 as its dedicated animation and games arm and Green Gold’s proven track record in building scalable, homegrown franchises. Creative teams from both sides have already kicked off discussions, with the first project currently in development.

The slate will draw inspiration from landmark Mukta films including Kalicharan, Karz, Hero, Karma, Ram Lakhan, Khalnayak, Saudagar and Iqbal, plus character-led spin-offs from those universes. The aim is to reimagine these stories for today’s young, global audiences while preserving their emotional core.

Green Gold Animation (home of Chhota Bheem) founder and CEO Rajiv Chilaka said, “This partnership with SGM Studios allows us to apply our experience in building long-lasting animation IPs to a truly iconic film catalogue. Together, we aim to create animated worlds that are rooted in these legendary stories, yet designed to connect with today’s young, global audiences.”
