B.A.G Films registers net income of Rs 96 million for Q3

MUMBAI: BAG films has posted a 82 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 11 million for the quarter ended 31 December, 2004 .

Net Income has also grown by 112 per cent to Rs 96.1 million in the current quarter against Rs 45.3million, during the previous years corresponding quarter.

According to a company release, as on 31 December, 2004, with the addition of the new programmes, the number of programming hours developed by B.A.G. Films would amount to 74 hours on a monthly basis (excluding repetitions).

During the quarter, the company developed Sansani on Star News, Khul Ja Sim Sim on Star Plus, Har Dil Jo Love Karega on Zoom and Siddhanth and Pyaar Ki Kashti Mein on Star One.

Among many other plans, the company has contracted an entertainment programme for 2005, Rihaee, a new show that is expected to go on air in the present quarter. The twice a week half hour duration serial, will shortly begin telecast on the Sony channel.

The company release also signifies, that it would be exploring opportunities to produce films across all budgets and geographies. The company proposes to begin production of medium budget films during the first half of the current calendar year.

Saurabh Narang, director of TV serials and the director of the recently launched film, Vastu Shashtra (of Ram Gopal Varma Corp.), has been signed by B.A.G. for its upcoming film, informs the media release.

MUMBAI: News18 India has rolled out a new war-focused programme, Command Centre, featuring Gaurav Arya, as it looks to offer viewers a sharper, more grounded take on global conflicts amid rising tensions in West Asia.

Positioned as an “insider war room”, the show moves away from conventional panel debates and instead focuses on explaining military developments, decoding strategy and connecting global events to their everyday impact, from fuel prices to economic shifts.

The format leans heavily on visuals and data. The studio has been designed like a command hub, complete with large LED war maps, real-time graphics and an alert system to track developments as they unfold.

At the centre of it all is Arya, who brings his military background to simplify complex war strategies for viewers. His signature line, “Seedhi baat samjhiye”, anchors the show’s promise of clarity over noise.

News18 India managing editor Jyoti Kamal said, “Command Centre, featuring Major Gaurav Arya is designed to deliver accurate insights and a clear perspective on how evolving conflicts impact everyday life, from household budgets to national security. With expert voices analysing every development in real time, the show goes beyond headlines to decode what’s happening now, what it means, and what could come next.”

Echoing the intent, Gaurav Arya added, “In times of war, confusion is the biggest threat. The weekday show will air in the afternoon slot and will also feature Gaurav Shukla, adding to its editorial depth.
