Adios ‘Frasier’, Grammer hints return
MUMBAI: As NBC’s long-running show Frasier is all set to air its final episode on Thursday, 13 May, here is some good news for those who have decided to wear black:Kelsey Grammer, who immortalised the lead character Prof. Frasier Crane in the five-time Emmy winner, has hinted that his long-running character might return on another television series.
According to Grammar, he has discussed the idea with Paramount Studios, but there have been no definite plans yet.Grammer recently expressed his disappointment over the dull manner NBC has been treating the Frasier finale. But he added: “I think we’re being honored suitably in terms of how much audience we’ve brought to the show.”
The impending Frasier farewell has not been able to match the super-hype its NBC stable-mate Friends’ exit had created. Although Frasier had a steady run in the ratings and being a favorite with the critics, the sitcom has never enjoyed quite as much popularity as Friends.
