SSC&B Lintas appointed as Essar Oil’s communication partner
MUMBAI: SSC&B Lintas has been awarded the Essar Oil Limited’s advertising and marketing communications account after a keenly contested, multi-agency pitch, involving almost all the key agencies. The estimated account size is pegged between Rs 250 -300 million in the first year and is expected to go up to 400 million in the second year.
Essar Oil, which is a part of the Essar Group has decided to foray into the retail space and has been licensed to open petrol pumps across the country. SSC&B Lintas will be involved in launching the retail brand and the products to be sold at these over 2000 outlets.
Speaking to Indiantelevision.com SSC&B Lintas President Ashish Bhasin says, “We are very excited to be taking on this mega challenge of launching a national brand in the oil sector. We will be using an integrated marketing approach to build the Essar Oil Brand and the world famous SSC&B Lintas creativity to get it salience, Also, as an agency we pitch for very select clients but when we do, we go all out”.
Interestingly, the agency in the last three months has won several new business accounts, the last being MTNL. The agency also upgraded its people through training and recruitment of internationally experienced managers, introduced latest systems, processes and technology; all the initiatives being steps towards becoming a world-class agency.
