MUMBAI: Motorola, Inc. has received two accolades at the Asian MobileNews Awards 2005 ceremony. It has received the Best Mobile Phone Design and beat five other competitors to clinch the most prestigious Mobile Phone of the Year Award for its Motorola Razr V3.

The Motorola Razr V3 epitomises Motorola’s design philosophy for its iconic mobile devices where it inspires to engage users emotionally and rationally through strong, iconic forms.

The Motorola Razr V3 is a classic example of the rectangle silhouette which features design that centers on chiseled, super-thin, targeted, defined looks. Its distinctive silhouette has been designed to give the product character and personality, and the stark contrast in shape creates intrigue and evokes an emotional response from consumers.

“Motorola’s design mission of ‘Purity with Purpose’ aims to stay true to the design form and yet not compromise on functionality. Motorola’s design mission which is clearly communicated in the Razr V3 devotes attention to creating products that humanise technology and put the user at the heart of it all; resulting in un-compromised beauty based on the strength of minimalism and functionality,” said Motorola vice president (Mobile Devices, High Growth Markets) Allen Burnes.

Riding on the success of Razr V3, Motorola has since launched the Razr V3 Special Edition Black, a strong iconic mobile device that underscore the design ethos of the brand.

In conjunction with Asia’s leading magazine for mobile telecoms operators, the Asian MobileNews Awards 2005 will once again recognise the achievements of companies and business people as industry leaders. Independent and democratic, a Mobie (as the Asian MobileNews Award is affectionately called) is the only accolade that credits outstanding companies and individuals and is peer-selected.

“It hardly came as a surprise to us when our readers voted the Motorola Razr V3 as the Mobile Phone of the Year as well as the terminal with the Best Mobile Phone Design. With the Razr V3, Motorola has redefined our perception of mobile handset design,” said Charlton Media Group deputy publisher and editor Angela McFeeters.

The Motorola Razr V3 has won numerous awards worldwide in recognition for its break-though design, such as the Most Innovative Product in the UK’s mobile phone industry’s most prestigious award show – Mobile News Awards 2005.

MUMBAI: JBCN Education just circled in a fresh voice because when your classrooms already think outside the box, the next logical step is to get the story out of the classroom. JBCN Education has appointed Mumbai-based communications agency The Other Circle (TOC) to handle its public relations and strategic communications mandate. The partnership aims to amplify the institution’s distinctive Educreative philosophy, which blends rigorous academics with experiential learning, creativity and values-led development.

TOC will shape JBCN’s narrative through educator-led thought leadership, media engagement and strategic storytelling, fostering deeper conversations with parents, educators and the academic community on modern, meaningful learning.

JBCN Education, senior vice president for marketing Nikhil Sharma said, “Every institution has a unique narrative, one filled with innovative learning, passionate faculty, and the next generation of Changemakers. The Other Circle’s strategic approach and deep familiarity with the education sector make them the right partner to strengthen our brand presence and forge meaningful connections.”

The Other Circle Group of Companies co-founder & CEO Aakanksha Gupta added, “The best communications work happens when the story is already true—you just have to find the right way to tell it. JBCN Education represents a powerful shift in how learning is imagined and delivered in India, and that story is rich: a philosophy that’s lived in the classroom, educators who believe in it, and outcomes that speak for themselves.”

The appointment marks a new phase for JBCN as it seeks to lead national conversations around progressive education, inquiry-based learning and preparing students for an interconnected world.

In an education landscape where the real competition isn’t marks but mindset, JBCN isn’t just teaching kids, it’s teaching the country what forward-thinking learning can look like, and now it’s got a voice loud enough to make sure everyone hears it.
