Yahoo! India launches exclusive Mobile Style Gallery

16 December, 2005: Yahoo! India has launched another ‘first’ with the unveiling of an exclusive Mobile Style Gallery specially designed for mobile users. Making the announcement even more striking was the unveiling of an exclusive signature series of the charming Malaika Arora Khan clicked by India’s ace lens man Atul Kasbekar.

While announcing the new initiative, Mr. Neville Taraporewala, Country Manager of Yahoo! India, said, “Currently, the value added services space in India is in a high speed zone and Yahoo! India is powering ‘innovation’ by taking an extra effort to offer its customers something ‘exclusive’ regularly. The Malaika & Atul Signature Series is another example of Yahoo! innovation.”

Exotic pictures of Malaika shot in Phuket by Atul, which form the Signature Series II, will be available on Yahoo! India wap site at http://in.wap.yahoo.com. A vast section of pictures from Atul’s personal Gallery will also be made available shortly.

Speaking at the unveiling, Mr. Vishal Maheshwari, Director, Mobile Yahoo! India Mobile, said, “It is for the first time that an exciting Digital Style studio experience is made available to mobile users in India. Now, Atul’s breath-taking photographs can grace ones mobiles in special themes in the form of Screen savers, wallpapers, Video clips, Picture Messages and Logos, besides engaging Mobile Games and other features.”

Reliving her experience of the photo shoot, Malaika Arora, said, “This experience of shooting with Atul for this signature series, which will be available to one and all as downloads on mobile from Yahoo! India, has been fabulous and yes we are absolutely ecstatic with the results too.”
