MUMBAI: GroupmM’s Wavemaker has bagged the media account for Truecaller. The account was won following a multi-agency pitch. The pitch includes all 360 degree-media services.
Previously, Truecaller was being handled by another agency. This is the first time that the Swedish caller identification app called for a competitive pitch in which several major agencies had participated.
The smartphone application that has features of caller-identification, call-blocking, to name a few, declared a 15 per cent year-on-year (YoY) growth in its global monthly active users (MAUs) in the April-June quarter, while announcing its financial results for the quarter. India continues to remain Truecaller’s biggest market.
