TMG to announce CIO awards on Friday

TMG, the parent company of TMG channel and publisher of CIO magazine will hold its first annual CIO Awards on 9 November.

The awards are based on the theme 'Leadership and innovation for the future of enterprise' and will be presented in five categories, according to an official release. Among the high profile personalities expected to attend the function are Chandrashekhar Naidu, IT minister for Karnataka, P K Kunjalikutty, Kerala IT minister, Kiran Karnik, president NASSCOM and Sunil Alagh, CEO Britannia Industries Limited.

The five categories in which the awards will be presented are - Business Process Development, Human Resource Development, Business Decision Support, Customer Management and Supply Chain Management. The awards are an effort in recognising their growing contribution to the IT industry. Says Achal Mehra President, TMG: "We are instituting these awards to recognize the growing contribution of CIOs and their significance within the organization. We are very confident of the aspirational value that these awards are going to signify in the years to come."
