Auto show 'Top Drive' launching on Star World 26 Jan

MUMBAI: Even as Zee English gets increasingly aggressive in its programming strategies, Star World is revving up in its own way with a new India-centric show.
Launching 26 January (Sunday) is Top Drive , a weekly half-hour show that airs at 9:30 pm and looks at the latest news and gossip from the automobile world.
Top Gear is produced by New Delhi-based Miditech which also does Wheels for BBC World. Aside from the usual news about new launches and the like, the show purports to offer a glamorous look at the world of Indian automobiles. Interviews with celebrities and the kind of wheels that get them going forms a part of the show.
The show has three anchors who will be reporting from three cities Mumbai, Bangalore and New Delhi in Namrata Barua, Daisy and sarod maestro Amjad Ali's son Aaman Ali Baksh.
For the viewer who goes for hot rods and glamour, Top Drive is the show that Star World hopes will do the trick.
