The Premiership battle becomes more exciting with the top five clubs in action to gain crucial points to challenge league leaders Chelsea this weekend.

Arsenal and Wigan kick off an exciting weekend with Premiership Saturday promising a challenging contest. The Gunners will make a trip down to the JJB stadium to close in on the leaders Chelsea and second placed Wigan. The surprise team of the season Wigan sits pretty on 25 points, just six behind Chelsea with a game in hand. A win against Arsenal will confirm their reputation of the team to watch for the rest of the Premiership. The Gunners looking resurgent after the return of their star striker Thierry Henry will be aiming to complete three points to move third in the standings.

Manchester United, high on their win against Chelsea, plays away against Charlton Athletic looking to reduce their 10 points gap from Chelsea with a game in hand. United may have found their rhythm back with a gritty display against the defending champions two weeks back. Later in the day, Chelsea hosts the Magpies in another action packed match for the day. Newcastle has found the goals and the combination going for them in the last few games.

The Magpies are on their way up the standings with Owen, Shearer and the impressive Emre exhibiting class but will be put to real test at Stamford Bridge. West Brom Albion will travel to Everton on Saturday with both teams looking to move away from the relegation zone.

On Sunday, Tottenham Hotspur host West Ham United with both teams looking for a win after a disappointing outing two weeks back. With two points between the two, West Ham has a game in hand and the Spurs will be wishing to hold on to their spot among top five in the league. Middlesbrough and Fulham make it a battle for edge in the second half of the tables in a clash at the Riverside.
