Live Action from the English Premier League & FIFA Club World Championship on ESPN STAR Sports

New Delhi, December 16, 2005: ESPN STAR Sports, Asia’s leading sports broadcaster, will bring LIVE & exclusive all the action this weekend from the English Premier League for Indian viewers. The Sports broadcaster continues its first-rate coverage of the Premiership with analysis and review shows throughout the year.

Old foes, Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal may well have involuntarily joined ranks in their prayers and mission for Chelsea downfall with the defending champions threatening to run away with the league title this season too. The top three clubs of English football foresee their long standing supremacy come to an end as Chelsea has by far well and truly ruled the roost now for nearly two years. In one of the most exciting matches this season, Chelsea travel to Highbury to face Arsenal on Sunday, who if not for anything will try and win it for pride. The Gunners have witnessed a dip in form and finishing with a fall to sixth place in the table. They will be looking to regroup themselves and bank on their star striker, Thierry Henry, to shake off the Blues.

On Saturday, Manchester United, after a fall out from Europe and a thumping win against Wigan, play away to Aston Villa. The Old Trafford side will be counting on their outstanding second phase form to catch leaders Chelsea for an outside chance at the title. Fresh from their win over Arsenal, the Magpies will look to winning ways this Saturday as Newcastle United face West Ham in an away match.

On Sunday, ESPN STAR Sports will also telecast LIVE FIFA Club World Championship Final between Liverpool and Sao Paulo. The Club World Championship features top clubs as championship winners from all the continents around the globe. The 3rd and 4th place play off between Al Ittihad and Deportivo Saprissa will precede the final on Sunday
