Visiware makes interactive version of 'The Price is Right'

MUMBAI: This is an initiative that takes interactive game shows to the next level in Europe. After the launch of interactive versions of game shows Family Feud and Going for Gold interactive game manufacturer Visiware has decided to make a fully interactive version of the game show The Price is Right .

The show has been airing on French broadcaster TF1 for a decade. For the unintiated four players make up Contestants Row, where they each have to guess the retail price of a featured item. Success comes to the contestant who guesses closest to the retail price, and they can then join the host to play the pricing game for bigger and better prizes.

Audience participation is very important as they are offered the opportunity to join the game, replacing the contestants on Contestant Row as they win or lose their game. The grand finale comes with the spinning of the money wheel. The contestant who bids close enough, yet still under the total retail price, wins the showcase prizes!

The interactive game version of the show will be available on the channels Playin TV and Playin Star. TPS and Canal Satellite. Subscribers can play the interactive game anytime just by using their TV remote.

To do this, players go to channel 87 (TPS) or channel 223 (Canal Satellite).A faithful adaptation of the game show, The Price is Right features four rounds and more than 1000 articles to guess from through a partnership with Téléshopping. During next month, all players can compete to win an home media ensemble complete with an LCD screen, a DVD-VHS combo and a Home cinema.

The interactive game version of The Price is Right will also be available in other countries where Playin TV is broadcast : Latin America, Spain, USA, Canada,
Australia, and New Zealand
