MUMBAI: Close on the heels of the exit of creative director Monisha Singh, comes news of the resignation of another senior executive at UTV, Akhauri Sinha.

Sinha, who headed the television division at the Ronnie Screwvala promoted United Television, oversaw the work of the creative directors who handled independent television projects for various channels, after the exit of Manish Popat early 2003. Sinha could not be contacted for confirmation, however.

While Sinha's new destination is not immediately known, the production house, on the brink of an IPO in September this year, has inducted Bonnie Jain as account director. Jain, who joins UTV from the first week of August, will basically look after shows that are being produced by the production house for Star, and is also tipped to handle some of the programming that will air on UTV's proposed children's channel Hungama.

Jain, was CEO of Eternal Dreams, the company that took over the running of Tara Marathi two years ago, for three years. Jain had, before that, been associated with AB Corp, and Channel 9 Gold.
