MUMBAI: After soccer, its hockey that Ten Sports has in its kitty. From Saturday, 31 August, the 24th Men's Champions Trophy 2002 hockey kicks off in Cologne, Germany.

Ten Sports will exclusively telecast this tournament in India from 31 August to 8 September.

India takes on the Netherlands in their first match on Saturday, 31 August, 2002 at 8:30 pm.

The Champions Trophy is the International Hockey Federation's premier annual tournament in the men and women's categories. The ultimate in the international hockey calendar. The tournament features the top six teams in the international hockey circuit competing in a round-robin format. Pakistan originated the tournament and won the first men's Champions Trophy in 1978. The women's competition was added in 1987. The six participating teams are selected from the previous Olympic Games.
