MUMBAI: With the US going to the polls next month to elect a president Nickelodeon US will run a Kids Pick the President initiative..

They can vote on www.nick.com tomorrow 19 October. On air a show U-Pick Live will encourage kids to vote.

There will also be a Nick News election special that will turn a spotlight on kid political activists of both parties, and Nick News interstitials throughout
U-Pick Live will focus on the candidates and the issues. Over the past four occasions the kids have picked correctly including the fact that Bush would beat Gore in 2000.

 
Nickelodeon Television US president Cyma Zarghami added, "Kids Pick the President is a terrific Nickelodeon tradition that empowers kids to get involved in the issues that affect their lives. It informs them about the election process, issues and candidates and actually gives them a voice in the presidential election.".

On the channel Nag the Vote interstitials will air from 20 October - 2 November. Featuring kids and celebrities such as Jack Black, the ads will urge kids to remind their parents to vote on Election Day.
