NBC going to Miptv with diverse lineup

MUMBAI: NBC Universal International Television Distribution will head to the television market Miptv in Cannes with a diverse product slate on offer to buyers.

This year's slate includes a drama, a comedy, as well as non-scripted series, formats, news, sports and documentaries. Miptv takes place from 11-15 April 2005.
 

One property that will attract the attention of Star World and Zee English is Law & Order: Trial by Jury. Star World is airing the other variants of the show. Then there is the medical mystery drama House, which has just been picked up for a second season in the US. Meanwhile Kojak stars Ving Rhames in the lead role as Lieutenant Theo Kojak. The show also stars Chazz Palminteri and Roselyn Sanchez.

In addition to the television content the slate is further fuelled by movies including Ray and the upcoming The Interpreter, starring Oscar winners Nicole Kidman and Sean Penn.
 
 

The Interpreter follows an FBI agent assigned to protect a UN interpreter who overhears an assassination plot. Then there is The Perfect Man with Hilary Duff, Heather Locklear, Chris Noth and Aria Wallace in the story of a teenage girl who secretly plans to find her mom the perfect man.

NBC Universal International Television Distribution will also present returning series including Monk which airs in India on Star World.
