MUMBAI: At a time when the so-called communication experts and psychological pundits are getting vociferous about the negative effects of adult programmes on children, the Australian media has reported an interesting incident where a 12-year old boy has picked up a positive message from the show Baywatch and applied it in real life to save the life of his father.

Sean Gageler resuscitated his father who suffered a cardiac arrest by performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Seant learnt to perform CPR from his favourite television show Baywatch.

The Queensland Ambulance Service at Parliament House honoured Sean on 20 September with the prestigious Queensland Young Hero of the Year award.

The popular Star World show Baywatch is about a cadre of attractive lifeguards who patrol a crowded recreational beach.
