JAIPUR : India’s premier regional channel ETV and the fastest growing Two wheeler manufacturer of India Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. hosted the first ever awards night to celebrate the Rajasthan Ke Superstars Grand Finale 2013 in Hotel Clarks Amer, Jaipur.

With a crystal clear objective to take the regional talent of Rajasthan to the next level of recognition and growth by realizing their true potential, ETV Rajasthan launched an initiative in the state, named ‘Rajasthan Ke Superstars’ in September, 2013. Honda Dream Neo chose to associate as the Presenting Sponsor, as the brand punch line ’Apni Film Ka Superstar’ gels well with the theme of Rajasthan Ke Superstars.

‘Rajasthan Ke Superstars’ is a journey to salute and applaud the extraordinary talent shown by the achievers, self initiators and thought leaders who wish to bring a positive change for the people of Rajasthan, by the people of Rajasthan.

The evening was graced with the presence of Sri Shanti Dhariwal, Urban Development & Parliamentry Affairs Minister, Government of Rajasthan as the esteemed Chief Guest.

ETV team identified the most deserving 10 candidates from various verticals, post in depth ground research, analysis and exploration. The categories these winners were chosen from are : Education, Social work, Environment, Sports, Technology, Entrepreneurship, Art, Music & Culture, Special Recognition, Special Mention, Lifetime Achievement. Environment category was exclusively sponsored by Honda Dream Neo.

Honda, along with ETV, also presented a brand new Honda Dream bike at the ceremony, to a lucky winner amidst 3981 entires, drawn over a 32 days long Road Show, across 8 cities, travelled through 5700 plus kilometers in the state. The Road Show was organized by ETV to promote the newly launched 110cc Honda bike, Dream Neo and create maximum hype in the state.

The Road Show also invited common people to fill in the forms and take the test drive of the Honda Dream Neo bike, out of which one lucky entry won a new Honda bike at this grand ceremony.
The participating entries were scrutinized by the eminent panel of jury in Jaipur on 16th September, 2013. The jury members were : Jagdeesh Chandra, Head – ETV Hindi News & Urdu channels, Entrepreneur Kamla Poddar, Chairperson, KPI, Dr. Ashok Gupta, Entrepreneur & Educationist, Rajiv Arora, Founder & Owner, Amrapali Jewels, Nand Bharadwaj, Writer & Media Expert.

Jagdeesh Chandra, Head, ETV Hindi & Urdu channels said, “This first of it’s kind initiative was developed with a thought of recognizing all those ordinary people, who have been contributing to the society in some or the other way, but have not been seen or heard of. ETV wishes to bring out such unexplored talent from all the major states of the country. A similar initiative was launched in Bihar last year and this time in Rajasthan. We look forward to honoring such talent in other states too.”
