Doha looks out for event firms to produce cultural events for 2006 Asian Games

MUMBAI: Doha, the capital of Qatar will be hosting the 15th Asian Games in December 2006.

The Doha Asian Games Organising Committee (Dagoc), is looking to present a programme of cultural celebration as part of its aim to provide the "Games of Your Life."

Dagoc is looking for proposals for the development, production, management and delivery of the Doha 2006 cultural events programme from specialised event producers.

Interested parties must have an in-house digital broadcast video production facility. They must also have produced a minimum of 20 large-scale multimedia events within the last 3 years in the Gulf region. The company's in-house personnel of producers, directors and creative, management, logistics and technical team must have a minimum experience of 10 years in multimedia production.

The company should also have in-house technology of water features, lasers and laser animation studios, large-scale slide projection equipment and slide development labs, musically synchronised pyrotechnics, audio, lighting and rigging equipment.

The scope of works requires the development, production, management and delivery of a show by means of water fountains, water screens, projection, lighting, sound, performing artists, laser animation and pyrotechnics all synchronised together to present the required concept.
