MUMBAI: Production house Creative Eye that has been having a good run with its dubbed mythological serial Sri Maha Ganapathy on Asianet in the Sunday morning slot might do an original Malayalam serial for the channel.

Creative Eye director Wing Commander (retd.) Devendra Dass says Asianet has approached the production house to do a serial on Lord Ayyappa for which a final decision is yet to be taken.

While Asianet has already aired a serial on Lord Ayyappa, Das said the next one would be covering the life of Lord Ayyappa, while the earlier one had dealt with various Ayyappa stories and the lives of Ayyappa's disciples.

Sri Maha Ganapathy has practically brought Creative Eye back on Malayalam television after a gap of three years.

The last time Creative Eye ventured into Malayalam was when DD Malayalam aired Om Namah Shivay from 1997 - 2001.
