MUMBAI: Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray today issued orders to all the Sena leaders and office bearers that they should not give interviews to any television channels without his prior permission.

The order comes in the wake of the Sena leaders giving interviews galore on television channels and speaking on any subject under the sun on which they have no authority and hence sending out wrong signals.

In a media report, Thackeray said that lately he had seen some interviews on television which prompted him to take this step. In future, any Sena leader who is giving an interview to channels would have to discuss the subject with Thackeray and get his approval on the same.

"This is a strict warning - all Sena office bearers and leaders will have to seek my consent before giving interviews to any television news channel," Thackeray said in their party mouth-piece Saamna.
