Writer sues 'Lost' producers

MUMBAI: Television writer Anthony Spinner has sued US broadcaster ABC and Touchstone over the show Lost. In India, the show kicks off on Star movies on 3 September.

In the suit, he claims that the two parties stole his idea for the show. He filed the suit in Los Angeles Superior Court a few days ago. The suit accuses ABC and Touchstone Television of breach of contract and fraud. Media reports indicate that Spinner is seeking unspecified damages.

Spinner has alleged that he was hired by Sid Krofft and Marty Krofft Productions way back in in 1977 to write, produce and direct a programme called Lost. The drama would be about a group of plane crash survivors living on a desert island, which is inhabited by mysterious creatures
