'Lost' debuts with impressive ratings in Hungary

MUMBAI: The action adventure show Lost, about a group of survivors from a plane crash who find themselves stranded on an island, has made a strong start in Hungary. In India the show airs on Star World.

The show premiered in Hungary on 26 August 2005. It aired on RTL Klub and began with both pilot shows being aired back to back. Data put forth by Buena Vista International Television which distributes ABC's shows indicates that Lost gained an average share over the two episodes of 53.5 per cent and average ratings of 21.5 in the A18-49 demographic.

This performance was way above that of the two other major channels in Hungary, TV2 and MTV. For the same time period Lost was 110 per cent above TV2’s average rating and a 796 per cent above MTV’s average rating.

In the second airing on 2 September, it managed to eclipse its premiere taking an even more impressive 54.9 per cent share of the SEC A18-49 demographic.
