WB Govt. confers lifetime honour to Moshumi Chatterjee

MUMBAI: The West Bengal Government lately honoured veteran actress Moushumi Chatterjee with a Lifetime Achievement award for her contribution to Indian cinema at the 12th Telecine Awards.

The state chief minister Mamata Banerjee presented the award to Chatterjee.

Expressing joy after receiving the trophy, Chatterjee said that she was happy to get the award from the people of her home state and that also from the hands of the state chief minister.

While popular film Ichhe got the best film honour, the best actor award was bagged by Deb for Paglu. Kahaani fame Parambrato Chattopadhay was adjudged the best co-actor for Baishe Srabon while Rudranil Ghosh received the best actor special jury award for Chaplin.

Neel Dutta was adjudged the best music director for the national award-winning film Ranjana Ami Aar Asbona, while lyricist-singer Anupam Roy received the best playback singer award for Ekbar bol... from Baishe Srabon.

Srijit Mukherjee was conferred the best director award for Baishe Srabon.
