Two Nights in Soul Valley

NEW DELHI: ‘Two Nights in Soul Valley‘, the experimental horror film by veteran public relations consultant-turned-filmmaker Harish Sharma, released on Friday in around fifty multiplexes around the country.

Interestingly, the film does not have any ghastly or horror or violent scenes but plays on the psychological imagination of the viewer. Sharma told indiantelevision.com that the movie will redefine the notion of horror and suspense.

The film is based on a real incident that occurred in Pithoragarh, a village located in Uttarakhand. According to Sharma, "Sometimes the real life incidents are more thrilling than reel ones. And the movie 2 Nights in Soul Valley presents one such incident."

It is the story of a group of five friends who go to the Soul Valley for vacation. During their journey throughout the group encounters many undesirable incidents.

The film has been partly shot in the beautiful mountainous area of Pithoragarh and partly shot in Morni Hills near Chandigarh.

The film stars Hemant Pandey, who has featured until now in comic roles in serials like ‘Office-Office‘ and films like ‘Krish‘, in a serious role with grey shades to it. It also stars debutants Sumeet Sharma, Akshi, Gaurav Shah, Meenakshi, Suumit Sharrma and England based singer-actress Milli Moonstone.

The movie produced under the banner of Pinta and Dehal Production is written and directed by Harish Sharma. The screenplay and dialogues are written by Meenakshi Sharma and Suman Prasad. Music is given by the Varsha, the camera is handled by Prakash Chand and the film has songs sung by Milli Moonstone.

Pandey told indiantelevision.com that he had decided to bid a final goodbye to comedy and hoped he will now be considered in serious roles. Comedy needs timing and facial expressions, but serious roles need an internal involvement, said Pandey, who had begun his career on stage with the National School of Drama Repertory and has been acting for about 23 years. He said he was prepared to take up any kind of role as long as he enjoyed it.

Sumeet Sharma said his first film as an actor was ‘Khargosh‘ by Paresh Kamdar, but Two Nights in Soul Valley will be his first release.
