Mumbai: The team behind the eagerly anticipated film Cirkus, from director Rohit Shetty, T-Series Films, and Dolby, celebrated 10 years of Dolby Atmos in India. The achievement was commemorated in Mumbai with a live Dolby Atmos viewing of the movie trailer and the song ‘Current Laga Re’ for consumers and fans in theatres, on TVs and soundbars in living rooms, and on mobile devices.

Crikus, a Rohit Shetty Productions film, stars Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Sharma, and Ranveer Singh (in a dual role). Devi Sri Prasad is the composer of Cirkus' music. The movie and its songs will be available in Dolby Atmos on Christmas Day 2022.

Speaking of the occasion, Shetty commented, "It’s been an amazing spatial sound experience with Dolby Atmos. I first experienced it in a theatre in 2012; it felt like we were in the middle of an action-packed scene with sound coming from all directions. We prioritised mixing our films in Dolby Atmos from then on, as it made the experience come alive beautifully. With Cirkus, we want the viewers to live the action like never before; hence, we bring to you the film and songs in Dolby Atmos for you to experience in cinemas, at home, or on-the-go."

T-Series chairman and managing director Bhushan Kumar said, "Over the years, Dolby Atmos has redefined the movie-watching experience for audiences around the world. On its 10th anniversary celebration, we at T-Series are extremely thrilled to associate with Dolby and are excited that audiences can now watch Cirkus in Dolby Atmos and listen to the music on certain audio streaming apps in Dolby Atmos, giving them a more immersive and thrilling experience."

Dolby Atmos is a groundbreaking spatial audio technology that provides a premium, multidimensional experience by adding layers above and beyond traditional surround sound. Dolby Atmos transports viewers into a spatial sound experience that draws a deeper connection with the content they love through an immersive experience, whether in a cinema, a living room setup, or on mobile. Dolby Atmos debuted in India on 12 December, and has since become a household name, with a plethora of content available in movies, TV shows, sports, gaming, and music. Today, viewers can watch over 1,100 Indian films in multiple languages, as well as hours of original TV shows on streaming services and music in Dolby Atmos.
