MUMBAI: Eros International will release Shoaib Mansoor’s forthcoming film Bol on 31 August.

Produced by Shahid Jamal and Shoaib Mansoor, Bol is based in Lahore and aims at highlighting the sorry plight of women who are treated as a worthless burden to a family in most parts of the society. 

Bol is the story of a daughter who stands up and challenges the age old societal norms of treating women as lesser beings. The film that released in Pakistan on 24 June along with the Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi-starrer Double Dhamaal, received a good opening when it grossed around Rs 4.9 million on the first day.

Mansoor is known for his critically acclaimed and award winning film Khuda Kay Liye.
