Mumbai: Today, women are breaking the glass ceiling in every sector. Beyond all this, there still exists a patriarchal mindset. Not many women are in the C-suite taking important decisions. And, of course, there still exists pay parity.

This Women’s Day, we, at Indiantelevision.com, are acknowledging some women leaders of the media, marketing, and advertising fraternity and also from other professions, who have given more than expected.

Her journey

I am a food enthusiast and a passionate home cook. My journey with Nourish You began three years ago when I found a solution to my lactose intolerance. I formulated a tasty and healthy substitute using millet instead of dairy for my kids and myself. I had a great team that supported me in developing this product. After several attempts and iterations, and working with an international institute, seeing the fruits of my hard work brings me immense pleasure as an entrepreneur.

Some sage advice I received years ago was to solve your own pain point because if you can solve your own problem, there is a chance that other people may have the same problem, which means there is probably a good business opportunity there. Every journey has its ups and downs, and you need to have an emotional connection to the idea and lots of guts. You need your head, heart, and guts to align for any good business to succeed. The head can sometimes be easy, but the heart and gut contain the secret ingredients to make something special.
