Xiaomi’s Manu Jain bids adieu after 9-year tenure

He held the post of global vice president since 2017.

Mumbai: Xiaomi global vice president Manu Kumar Jain stepped down from his role on 30 January after a stint of nine years, and he announced the same through social media.

Jain joined Xiaomi in 2014 and served in multiple roles ever since. He took on the reins as the smartphone brand’s India region managing director – he held the position for three years.

Following that, he was designated as the company’s president for the Indian subcontinent. In the latter part of 2021, he was appointed as the brand’s global vice president.

 

 

Prior to joining Xiaomi, he co-founded a leading e-commerce company - Jabong.com, which was bought by Flipkart (Walmart group). He has also worked with McKinsey & Company for five
years across various roles in India, Southeast Asia and Africa.

Jain is armed with a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi and an MBA from IIM Calcutta.
