Amongst these multitude of agencies, India’s leading independently-led creative digital agency - SoCheers won one bronze and one merit at the ABBY One Show Awards 2023.

As the head of corporate communications at SoCheers, Aanchal Kohli plays an integral part in strengthening the agency’s external and internal communications with an aim to expand its footprints across media verticals, spanning over digital and print publications. Her key roles include, but are not limited to, crafting the best communication strategy for the agency, maintaining brand & media relations, building employee communications & engagement, and developing digital communications in this diverse digital ecosystem.

On winning the bronze and merit awards at the ABBY One Show Awards 2023, how does it feel to be recognised for your creative work on such a prestigious platform

We are grateful for the honor of winning the bronze and merit awards at the ABBY One Show Awards 2023. Being recognised on such a prestigious platform is truly humbling and exciting. It motivates us to continue pushing the boundaries of creativity and delivering impactful campaigns. We appreciate the support and recognition, and it fuels our dedication to achieving even greater heights in our pursuit of creative excellence.

On the creation or execution of one of the award-winning campaigns, could you share a behind-the-scenes story or an interesting anecdote

So, here's the deal. When we told influencers about our plan to take selfies with a lauki (yes, a bottle gourd), their initial reaction was priceless: laughter, chuckles, and amusement all around. We didn't see that coming! And, they thought it was a prank. And, then we had to help them with references for which we decided to make things even more hilarious. We brought a lauki into our office and let the creativity flow.

Picture this: a bunch of us brainstorming the craziest selfie poses with a vegetable. We had so much fun that we ended up with over 50 out-of-the-box ideas, way more than we ever expected! Who knew that a simple lauki could bring so much laughter and success? Well, at least we did, and we're still laughing about it!

On the back of your recent win at ABBY can you share any upcoming projects that we can look forward to

Currently, we are working on Sony Pictures Entertainment India’s iconic movie, Spider-Man - Across the Spider-Verse’s promotions. Apart from that we will be seen building some very interesting work around all our brands like, Yes bank, Croma, Amazon Prime Video & MiniTV, Diageo group and more.  

On measuring the impact and success of campaigns beyond awards show recognition and any  metrics or KPIs do you prioritise

Beyond the recognition received at awards shows, measuring the impact and success of our campaigns is a multi-faceted endeavor at SoCheers. While awards validate our creativity, we also believe in looking beyond trophies to assess the true impact of our work. We prioritise client satisfaction and feedback, assessing how our work has influenced their business goals, brand perception, and customer engagement. Monitoring audience response and interaction, including social media engagement and user-generated content, gives us insights into the effectiveness of our messaging. We also consider long-term brand equity, looking at factors like brand recall, loyalty, and advocacy.
