SportzPR to promote All India Tennis Association

MUMBAI: Specialized sports communications consultant SportzPR has bagged All India Tennis Association (AITA)'s contract to promote the game across the country.

AITA, besides organizing national and international level tournaments in the country, also fields Indian teams in events like Olympic Games, Asian Games Davis Cup and Fed Cup abroad. SportzPR would provide AITA the necessary professional support to help realise the untapped potential of tennis in the country, says a company release.

According AITA Secretary General Anil Khanna: "We at the AITA are delighted with this new association with SportzPR. We are confident that together SportzPR and AITA will work successfully for developing, promoting and popularizing tennis in the country."

According to CMCG India president of SportzPR and managing director Samir Kale: "Tennis has tremendous potential in India with Indian tennis players consistently performing at the highest level of the game for many years. Starting from Ramanathan Krishnan in the early fifties to the Amritraj brothers to Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi to the latest sensation Sania Mirza, we have performed phenomenally at the tennis grand slam events. We have also reached the Davis Cup final thrice and won the only individual Olympic Medal in the l996 Atlanta games in tennis."
