Samsung launches online promotion campaign for Note PCs

MUMBAI: Samsung India has initiated an online marketing campaign for the promotion of its lifestyle-focussed 'X Series' of Note PCs. Launched on 11 April, this month-long viral marketing programme is being undertaken in association with leading websites and email-service providers – Yahoo, MSN and Rediff.

Based on the tie-up, MSN messenger bar and all Yahoo and Rediff email signatures will carry live Samsung Note PC banners that take them through a demo run and a contest.

The contest participants get a chance to win a Samsung Note PC. As part of this promotion, special newsletters are being sent to over two million Yahoo and Rediff subscribers, and pop-up ads have been placed on relevant high-profile websites that are frequented by target clientele. Another feature of the campaign is the Samsung Note PC screensaver that is being circulated in a big way and demonstrates the features and power of Samsung Note PCs.

"We are not only focusing on our Note PC dealers for the generation of sales enquiries, but also reaching out to our IT-savvy target consumers directly through this online campaign. We are also seeking to introduce the power and functionality of Samsung Note PCs to more consumers through this campaign," said Samsung India country product manager (Note PC) Ramanjeet Singh.
