NDTV gets into a 'car'riage deal with Hindustan Motors

MUMBAI: Hindustan Motors and NDTV have joined hands for a Ambassador Grand election contest, which gives poll pundits across the country, an opportunity to win a brand new Grand car with power steering.
 

 
The election contest that will run for a week from 5 May invites participants to predict the number of seats that they are expecting the triumphant party, whichever it may be, to win. Participants could send in their response by sending an SMS to 6388. One lucky winner whose prediction comes closest to the actual number of seats won by the winning party will get the ambassador Grand in a colour of their choice.
The winner could be from any city within the country. HM shall deliver the Grand diesel (AC) with power steering in metallic colour on ex showroom price basis but subject to certain terms and conditions.

Commenting on the contest, CK. Birla Group general manager corporate communications Soni Shrivastav said, "This is the first time when a contest on elections is being organized on such a large scale. Elections are of an immense interest to everyone in this country and so is the ambassador car. Therefore, we are utilizing this opportunity to reach out to our target audience".

NDTV India is set to promote the contest through election programmes on their channel from 5 May till a day before the counting begins on 12 May. In case of multiple correct responses, winners would be decided by a lucky draw. Special announcements on the contest and the prize will be made during the opinion polls on 7 May and exit polls on 5 May and 10 May 2004, says a release.
