Kingfisher Airlines acquires designer coaches from Tata Motors

MUMBAI: Soon to be launched liquor Baron Vijay Mallya’s Kingfisher Airlines, today announced that it has inked a deal with Tata Motors for the purchase of a fleet of customised designer coaches to meet its ground transportation needs. These coaches are part of new range that was launched by Tata Motors today.

The coaches are being customised to meet Kingfisher Airlines’ exacting standards of guest convenience which the airline expects to provide when it launches later this year. The coaches will be used to ferry guests to the aircraft and back and have been designed with a view to extending the ‘Kingfisher Class’ experience even on the ground. The current order is for ten coaches.

Sharing Kingfisher Airlines’ approach to providing an equally pleasing experience while on the ground, president and chief operating officer Alex Wilcox said, “The on-ground experience is as important as the in-flight experience and by going in for a specially customized fleet, we hope to be able to extend the same comfort and experience on-ground and in-air. This purchase forms an important part of our ground infrastructure and takes us one step closer to the airline’s launch.”
