CNBC to organise workshop on 'effective advertising'

MUMBAI: CNBC India has taken an initiative to organise a series of workshops in the country, to be conducted by the world's best marketing minds, through the channel's marketing and advertising magazine Storyboard.

As part of this initiative, the first workshop on 'Effective Advertising' will be conducted by acclaimed ad veteran and specialist Prof John Philip Jones in Mumbai on 26 March at the Taj Mahal Hotel. He will address issues like effectiveness and response of good advertising, two features which have become essential in a market cluttered with multiple brands. He has developed methodologies that allows one to measure the short-term effects of advertising, and measure the effect advertising is having on sales. Thus, fulfilling clients' demand for tools that will determine the results of their advertising spends.

Prof Jones will also conduct a comprehensive day- long workshop for registered members focusing on methodologies that makes advertising more accountable and effective on 28 March, at the Taj Mahal Hotel in New Delhi.
