    MUMBAI: Cable & Satellite (C&S) and Internet sectors are continuing robust growth in reach compared to the sequential quarter, whereas radio and cinema are dipping.

    As per the IRS 2012 Q1 data, C&S reach has gone up by 12.4 per cent CAGR in the last three quarters and Internet by 47.3 per cent.

    C&S total reach has grown to 475.18 million, from 462.38 million in Q4 of 2011.

    The total reach of TV media has also gone up by 5.6 per cent CAGR to 554.65 million, according to the Indian Readership Survey report released today by the Media Research Users Council (MRUC) and Hansa Research.

    The Internet is growing fastest with the reach climbing to 37.48 million, from 34.41 million in the Q4 survey. (See table for details).

     

     

    Meanwhile, radio and cinema are two sectors which are seeing negative growth. In the Q1 report, both the sectors have seen a negative CAGR of 4.2 per cent. While total reach of radio is at 154.94 million, Cinema goes out to 75.19 million.
