Gutenberg appoints Neil Ashurst as UK head

Broadcasting to get Rs 475.5 crore in Annual Plan 2016-17 of MIB

NEW DELHI: There is a provision of Rs 390 crore as grant-in-aid for Prasar Bharati for the year 2016-17 which includes Rs 50 crore for the north east region.

In addition, there is a grant-in-aid of Rs 60 crore including Rs 8 crore for the north east region, according to the annual plan of the Information and Broadcastng Ministry for 2016-17.

In addition, Doordarshan will get Rs 125 crore and All India Radio will receive Rs 75 crore for development of new content.

Mindshare gets maximum shortlists at Media Abbys 2013

MUMBAI: GroupM‘s Mindshare leads the Media Abbys shortlist this year with 20 entries from India and one entry from Sri Lanka.

IPG Mediabrands India‘s Lodestar UM follows with 16 entries, while GroupM‘s Maxus falls one short to be a close third. Madison Pinnacle has the fourth highest shortlisted entries with 14.

CNBC launches mobile-on-demand content in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore

MUMBAI: CNBC has signed a three-market (Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore) distribution agreement to provide a series of specially customised mobile-on-demand business news and information content on the 3G mobile platform.

The content will be distributed in the three markets through SmarTone-Vodafone in Hong Kong, Celcom in Malaysia and SingTel in Singapore from 1 November 2005. This will give CNBC access to the fast-growing population of 3G mobile subscribers across the Asia Pacific, which currently stands at over 20 million.
