Mumbai: Elite Sports India has appointed Keith DelGreco as the commissioner of Elite Pro Football in India. American Football is one of the biggest sports in the US and Elite Sports India is all set to bring the sport to India.

DelGreco is the founder of DelGreco Construction in the US and for the past 32 years has been building sports infrastructure and high-end homes. He has also played ice hockey and American football and has a keen passion to grow the sport in India.

DelGreco said, “I am very excited about the new challenge that I have taken to grow Elite Pro Football in India. I think the game has a huge potential and market to grow in India. American football is the most commercially viable sport in the world and Superbowl is the epitome of commercial sports.

“My vision is to popularise the sport in India and introduce a new league which will benefit athletes. Also build world class sports infrastructure in India,” he added.

Elite Sports India CEO Sunny Bhandarkar said, “We are looking forward to what Keith can bring on the table, there is a huge prospect for the sport in India. We liked the ideas which Keith had and we will leave no stone unturned to make the sport popular in India.”
