Broadband Wireless Group has launched a Webzine called "Connections"
to extend it's relationship with customers by providing an informative
and innovative publication designed to provide the latest on wireless
broadband technology. The new Webzine, making its debut on 4 June
during Supercomm in Atlanta (USA), will be updated in its entirety
each month.
Imagination Publishing in Chicago, has developed the Webzine that
will feature case studies of Canopy system deployments; content
about customers who use Canopy wireless broadband products; as well
as general news about the wireless broadband industry.
Motorola senior director of marketing and sales for the Canopy
portfolio Tom Hulsebosch was quoted as saying that this is another
way to stay connected with customers, distributors and employees.
Smaller updates will occur weekly or every other week as Canopy

Motorolas Canopy system is based on wireless broadband technology
that provides for high-speed Internet access utilizing the unlicensed
UNII bands (5.25-5.35GHz or 5.725-5.825GHz). The Canopy system was
designed to provide cost-effective last mile high-speed
data access for customers previously underserved or who live in
locations where infrastructure and return on investment previously
has been unattainable.
Meanwhile, Motorola Inc. is also installing a radio communications
network for the Baghdad police force that should be operational
in about four weeks, said the US adviser to Iraq's rebuilt police
forces.
Schaumburg-based Motorola is providing 3,000 walkie-talkies for
foot patrols and 350 two-way car radios and setting up 55 base stations,
said Bernard Kerik, a former New York City police commissioner who
is helping the U.S. military in Iraq revive the Iraqi police force.
