MUMBAI:
"I had never planned to join politics. I never had any pressure
from my family to join politics. I had decided that when I'll come
back to India, I'll do something for the country. I saw many problems
at the local level and after seeing the problems I decided to move
ahead and that's how my political activeness increased," says
Milind Deora, India's youngest parliamentarian in a candid chat
with Sanjeev Srivastava, India Editor, BBC Hindi on the show BBC
Ek Mulakat on Radio One FM 94.3
Milind
Deora reminisces about his days in the USA where he studied and
later worked before the zest to do something for the country brought
him back to first start "Sparsh" and then go on to join
active politics.
In
an interview where he talks about the influence his father and mother
have had on his professional, political and personal life, Milind
Deora shows his down-right honesty when he confesses that, "If
I were not the son of a politician, no one would have made me an
MP," and has a few words of advise for aspiring politicians.
Tune
in on Sunday, 23rd, September 2007 at 12 noon to BBC Ek Mulakat
on Radio One FM 94.3 to know more about the Milind Deora's secret
