MYFM lends voice to blind students this Teacher’s Day

 

MUMBAI: In a heart-warming gesture, ‘MY FM - Dil se’ gave a platform to blind students on Teachers Day, who got a chance to express gratitude to their teachers on this special day. In a truly ‘Dil se’ move, 94.3 MY FM - Dil se, the Bhaskar Group owned radio channel, gave Teachers Day a new meaning for the blind students in Surat.

MY FM representatives distributed sweets and also arranged an antakshari contest between the students and their teachers. MY FM also gave momentos to the school teachers for their noble effort.

Says, Sulakshna, a student, “We are touched by the MY FM’s efforts. This is truly a special moment for us. We are thankful to the Radio Station for airing our messages and letting us express our gratitude to our teachers.

Says, Harrish M. Bhatia, Business Head, MY FM, “We decided to do something truly meaningful on this Teachers Day and realized that blind students and other specially-abled children are really strong on their feel factor and that they just need a platform. Hence, we decided to do this specially for them. Everything that we do is Dil se and we are glad that the children loved it. It was also an extremely heart-warming moment for us.”

In addition to the activity at the blind school, the radio station also organized contests and promotions in other cities like Ahmedabad.
