MUMBAI:
This week ‘Documentary 24x7’ features the first part of
the four part documentary series ‘Gujarat’s New Muslims’
by NDTV’s Shikha Trivedy, who travels through Gujarat to capture
how hope provides a healing touch to those scarred by communal violence.
 The
documentary shows how the power of faith and hope for a better future
has helped the Muslims in Gujarat get over the trauma of the communal
riots of 2002 and to re establish an identity of their own. ‘Gujarat’s
New Muslims’ takes the viewers through Muslim localities where
schools exclusively for their children have been built from ashes
in all major cities of the state.
