MUMBAI:
B4U Music, the UK's number one Asian channel, announces the commissioning
of a song for Diwali this year - the first of its kind in the Asian
Music industry
The
single on the lines of the Christmas singles released every year
is slated to top the charts this Diwali and reflects B4U Music's
commitment to innovation in contemporary Music.
Titled
Diwali Aaayi Re, it will be showcased at Diwali on the square -
one of the biggest cultural events outside India taking place in
Trafalgar Square, London on 28th October 2007 ,which is being sponsored
by B4U Network.
Composed
and sung by Karunya, the song which has a catchy tune and upbeat
music is on its way to become the anthem during this festive season.
And the gifted singer is undoubtedly over the moon, "I have
composed and sang Diwali Aaayi Re exclusively for B4U viewers keeping
in mind the festive spirit of the season. I look forward to more
such endeavours with the channel. I wish you all a very Happy Diwali
and hope you enjoy the song as much as I did." He said
Karunya
who made his debut in Bollywood with Aane Charane in Lage Raho Munnabhai,
also features in the video of the song along with B4U VJ's Salil
and Khushboo.
Directed
by Madhu Sarkar, sister of Pradeep Sarkar (director of Parineeta,
Laga Chunari Mein Daag) and choreographed by the talented Fatima
Khanam [assistant of Farah Khan in Main Hoon Na] the song will be
shown on B4U Music in India, UK, USA, South Africa, UAE and Canada
on 26th October 2007 and will also be played on radio stations across
