MUMBAI:
BIG 92.7 FM, India's No.1 FM Station currently operational in 33
Stations, came forward to support the wildlife and environment preservation
and conservation initiative. Taking an important step in the industrial
city Kanpur, BIG 92.7 FM organized an awareness workshop and seminar
on wildlife preservation and conservation in association with MMV
PG College.

Kumar, Director - Kanpur Zoo along with Dr Ranjit Sahu, Head OF
Department, Environmental science Department Kanpur University and
Dr Sunita Arya conducted the workshop which was attended by more
than 500 students of the city. Workshop was followed by an awareness
campaign which included a human chain spreading the message of Save
Animals.
Speaking on the occasion, Pankaj Chandra, Regional Director-North,
BIG 92.7 FM said, "It is our constant endeavor to offer a wholesome
mix of entertainment on air and create a social awareness through
responsible on-ground activities. Since our launch in Kanpur, we
have been consistently taking forward-steps to positively impact
the city and share responsibility for the development of the society.
Activities like this has not only made people aware of wildlife
conservation but also provided information on their importance in
the maintenance of a healthy ecological balance. I am extremely
positive that this initiative from BIG 92.7 FM has been successful
in drawing the attention towards loss of animals in the present
habitat."

R Hemant Kumar, Director, Kanpur Zoo, said, "This was an effort
for wildlife conservation, reforestation and maintaining ecological
balance to prevent the environment from erratic climate resulting
in disappearance of animal and plant life."
