MUMBAI:
HBO, the world's greatest movie channel, returns with season 3 of
the Emmy and Golden Globe winning HBO original series 'Deadwood'.
Find out what happens to the lawless town of Deadwood as the third
season of 12 episodes premieres for the first time on Indian television.
Created and executive produced by David Milch ( NYPD Blue), the
Emmy and Golden Globe winning western drama series will kick off
its third season on 4 June at 11 pm and thereafter every Monday
after the 9pm movie.
DEADWOOD
won five out of 11 Emmy nominations for its second season: Outstanding
Cinematography for a Single-Camera Series (James Glennon), Outstanding
Costumes for a Series ( Janie Bryant), Outstanding Art Direction
for a Single-Camera Series (Maria Caso), Outstanding Non-Prosthetic
Makeup for a Series ( John Rizzo) and Outstanding Hairstyling for
a Series (Carol Pershing). The HBO Original Series was also nominated
for 11 Emmys for its first season and won two (Directing for a Drama
Series Walter Hill, and Sound Editing for a Series).
The
ground-breaking HBO Original Series also boasts of a Golden Globe
Award, won by Ian McShane who plays Al Swearengen, the notoriously
violent town boss of Deadwood and one of television's most scene-stealing
villains.
